Respite Activities
Friends of Wellspring Camp,
This fall, we have planned some activities for our friends to enjoy. These activities are designed to give families a time of respite and relaxation while we enjoy our time with our campers. Please keep in mind that we are not trying to make a profit from these activities. However, to cover the costs for our GREAT volunteers, you may notice that the cost for each activity includes a portion of a volunteer’s cost as well.
The activities are on a first come basis, with all applications and payments due one week prior to the activity. If your camper is a returning camper, we will use their camp application information from last summer, with any changes that you may need to make. If your camper is new to Wellspring, please know that a medical history / information sheet will need to be completed at drop-off for the activity. (You can print the summer 2010 form from our website and use it) Please be sure to sign up as soon as possible using the form below to get the available spots. We will have a waiting list for each activity after they fill up.
Feel free to contact us with any questions. We look forward to seeing many of you this fall!
Activity #1—Overnight Weekend
• Friday, September 10 – Sunday, September 12, 2010
• We will again meet at His Forever Ministries, Jefferson, GA
• We’ll meet at 5 p.m. on Friday (dinner will be served), and we will finish at 1:30 p.m. on
Sunday (lunch will be served).
• We will be having a great overnight weekend together (much like a mini-camp) with
hayrides, games, talent shows, boat rides, fishing, and just enjoying each others’
company!
• Cost for the overnight weekend activity is $85.00 per camper
• ****A charity motorcycle ride to raise funds for Wellspring will be completing its course
at camp on Saturday. A number of the riders will eat lunch with us before heading out
after their ride. This is done with our approval—we merely wanted you to be aware of
this event. ****
Activity #2—Six Flags
• Saturday, October 2, 2010
• We will meet at His Forever Ministries, 193 Lindsay Lane, Jefferson, GA (the location of
all of our overnight activities).
• We’ll meet at 8:30 a.m. and return to His Forever at 8 p.m.
• We will spend a great day together enjoying all that Six Flags Atlanta has to offer! Each
camper will be able to tailor their day and participate in the activities they choose. While
Six Flags is known for roller coasters, there are plenty of rides and activities for the
“less adventurous”. ☺
Eat a hearty breakfast before we meet, and your payment will include a sack lunch at
the park as well as dinner at a fast food restaurant. Feel free to bring extra spending
money for video games, souvenirs, etc.

spares!

bring some extra spending money and a shopping list of gifts that you would like to buy
for family or friends. Not a shopper? Come hang out and keep your friends company!
